John Paul II Prayer Group

November 8th, 2007 by ascottwoodill

Servants of the Servant

Servant of God John Paul II

You are invited to join our prayer group dedicated to the Cause for Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God John Paul II.

If it is your firm intention to promote this Servant of God, a Man who lived an intense life of prayer, a tireless Pastor of the universal Church and courageous Witness of the Gospel of Christ, entrusting himself completely to God’s will and to the Virgin; Mary, confirmed in his vast and rich Magisterium the centrality of the Mystery of the Eucharist in the life of the Church, then we wish you to join our prayer group.

We ask that all our members, hereby called Servants of the Servant, follow these guidelines:

1.  Partake in frequent reception of the Sacraments.

2. On the first Friday of the month, abstain from eating meat for our intention.

3.  Pray the rosary at least once a week.

4.  Whenever possible carry a rosary on your person at all times.

5.  Promote the Cause among your family, friends, parrish, and diocese.

If you would like to become a member, but would prefer not to follow these particular devotions, that is just fine. As long as you have a devotion to John Paul II, I’d like you to become a member. I would ask that you take some time and promote his Cause at your local level and pray for us.

The “Servants of the Servant” prayer group is registered at the official JPII Cause website, Mons. Sławomir Oder, Postulator.

PRAYER FOR ASKING GRACES THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF THE SERVANT OF GOD
THE POPE JOHN PAUL II

O Blessed Trinity
We thank You for having graced the Church
with Pope John Paul II
and for allowing the tenderness of your Fatherly care,
the glory of the cross of Christ,
and the splendor of the Holy Spirit,
to shine through him.
Trusting fully in Your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary,
he has given us a living image of Jesus the Good Shepherd,
and has shown us that holiness
is the necessary measure of ordinary Christian life
and is the way of achieving eternal communion with you.
Grant us, by his intercession, and according to Your will,
the graces we implore,
hoping that he will soon be numbered
among your saints.
Amen.
With ecclesiastical approval

CARDINAL CAMILLO RUINI
the Holy Father’s Vicar General
for the Diocese of Rome

    Dear Karin and Marylee,

I placed your prayers for the children and all petitions within the Holy Mass at the Grotto of Lourdes, France.

As soon as confirmation is sent to me by e-mail, I will post it on the front page of my
    website (above) with the others.

I encourage you to visit and place all your needs at this time (and daily) before the Heart of Our Mother of Mercy.

I ask that you pray for this family as well–
